Danbury Football Coach Resigns: Report

The Hatters will be looking for a new football coach after just three seasons.

DANBURY, CT — After three seasons at the helm, Danbury High School football coach Alex Trasacco has resigned, reports the News Times. Trasacco led the hatters to a 4-25 record overall, and a 1-9 record this season.

Trasacco cited personal reasons, and said he felt he was not the person to bring the Hatters' football program back to where it should be. Athletic director Chip Salvestrini told the News Times Trasacco was extremely dedicated to the players, and had a tremendous work ethic.

Salvestrini cited problems with numbers as one of the main challenges the football program faces moving forward.
