Danbury Immaculate HS Students Visit State Capitol Building
The students had the opportunity to meet Sen. Michael McLachlan and ask questions about the legislative process in the government system.

CT State Rep Office: State Senator Michael McLachlan (R-24) today welcomed students from Danbury’s Immaculate High School to the State Capitol Building in Hartford.
“One of the best parts about being an elected official is engaging with our young people as they learn about the legislative process in Connecticut,” Sen. McLachlan said. “These are our future voters and leaders. Helping them understand the role state government plays in their everyday lives – from requiring them to wear seatbelts to penalties for texting and driving – I hope will motivate them to become more aware and involved.”
Sen. McLachlan said he looks forward to more students visiting him at the capitol. Groups that would like to take a tour can contact my office at (860) 240-0068.
