Danbury Man Accused of Fatal Shooting of 19-Year-Old Daughter Arrested at Pizza Parlor: Report

Sabrina DaSilva, a student at Bristol Community College, was shot nine times and was found lying in a parking lot in New Bedford.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Danbury man who is a suspect in the murder of a New Bedford College student was arrested on Friday in a Bridgeport pizza parlor. Police said that DaSilva is a suspect in the fatal shooting of his daughter, Sabrina DaSilva, 19, who was found shot nine times in New Bedford, MA, according to the report.

Walter DaSilva, 45, a Brazilian citizen who lives in Danbury, was taken into custody by members of the U.S. Marshal's Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force and charged with being a fugitive from justice, The News Times reported.

The teen mom was gunned down at her apartment complex on July 3, 2016 after she returned home from grocery shopping, SouthCoastToday reported, and said she left behind a two-year-old daughter Victoria.
