Danbury Man Accused of Sexual Assault Detained by Immigration Officials: Report
Breaking: This is the second time this month someone has been detained during their court date at Danbury Superior Court.
DANBURY, CT — A city man facing sexual assault charges was taken into custody by federal immigration officials Wednesday at Superior Court on White Street, reports the News Times.
Jonathan Rubio, 23, is accused of having sex with a young girl and was take into custody inside the courthouse by officers with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Police say Rubio gave a 15-year-old girl alcohol before having sex with her.
This is also the second time within the past month that immigration officials have detained someone facing sexual assault charges in Danbury.
