Danbury Man Swallowed 'Unidentified Object' During Arrest: Police
Police say the object the man swallowed was believed to be illegal drugs.

DANBURY, CT — During the execution of a search warrant, A Danbury man who police say was selling crack cocaine in the city swallowed an 'unidentified object' during his arrest. Lee Alexander, 29, was arrested following a weeks-long investigation by the department's Special Investigations Division.
Police say the warrants were a result of the investigation, spurred by citizen complaints of Alexander's alleged sales of crack cocaine. When police forced their way into Alexander's Wooster Heights Road home, he refused to cooperate with police before swallowing the object.

He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and interfering with a search warrant. His bond was set at $10,000.
