The Danbury Music Centre Presents "The Nutcracker"

Experience the magic of the season with the Danbury Music Centre's beloved production of The Nutcracker!

Experience the magic of the season with the Danbury Music Centre’s beloved production of The Nutcracker, performed with live accompaniment by the Danbury Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Ariel Rudiakov.

This treasured holiday tradition features direction and choreography by Arthur Fredric and Lisa Denton and brings together more than 200 local dancers and musicians.

First presented in 1967, the Danbury Music Centre’s Nutcracker has become a cornerstone of the region’s holiday celebrations. Now in their 27th year leading this production, Fredric and Denton continue to create the enchanting world that audiences return to year after year. The ballet is performed to Tchaikovsky’s iconic score, played live by the Danbury Symphony Orchestra, making this one of the few live-orchestra Nutcracker performances in Connecticut.
