Danbury Named 21st Most Diverse City in America
The Wallet Hub study ranked several cities based on a range of criteria.

In a recent study from personal finance outlet Wallet Hub, Danbury was named 2016’s 21st Most Diverse City in America.
The analysts compared demographic profiles from 313 of the largest cities in America. Their data came from social class diversity, ethno-racial diversity, economic diversity and household diversity.

While Danbury ranks 21st overall, we rank 9th among small cities. “This is truly incredible,” said Mayor Mark Boughton. “Our diverse community is something we have been celebrating as a city for a long time. There is a lot of pride in having so many different cultural influences around Danbury.”
Danbury is ranked right after the 20th spot San Francisco, CA and Los Angeles, CA who ranked 12th. “It’s terrific to see that,” added Mayor Boughton. “You wouldn’t think we’d follow behind cities that are so well-known for their cultural influences, but we definitely have a lot to show for it here in Danbury.”
