Danbury Police: Crack, Paraphernalia, Violation of Protective Order

Duane Cruz, 36, of Waterbury, was charged at about 6 p.m. Monday with possession of crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said a police officer at the Danbury Fair mall on other business saw Cruz smoking crack in his car in the mall parking lot. Cruz was held on a $10,000 bond for an appearance in Danbury Superior Court Tuesday.

In a separate case, Danbury Police charged David Lacoda, 44, of New Jersey, with criminal violation of a protective order, second-degree larceny, disorderly conduct and reckless driving. Lacoda was held on a $50,000 bond for an appearance in Danbury Superior Court on Tuesday.
