Danbury Police: DUI, Sale of Marijuana
The following information was provided by the Danbury Police Department. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.
Elizabeth Sudol, 23, Shortswood Drive, New Fairfield, was charged at 7:15 a.m. Monday with the sale of marijuana. The charge was outlined on a Danbury Superior Court warrant that arose from an incident in August at the North Street Shopping Center. Sudol surrendered herself to the police after learning about the warrant. Police said members of the Department's Special Investigations Division witnessed the sale.
Danbury Police charged Rigoberto Diaz, 45, Buck Rocks Road, New Milford, with driving under the influence, failure to drive right and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license at about 12:51 a.m. Monday. Police said Officer Christine Buonocore saw a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox facing westbound off the road, on the eastbound sidewalk, and into a bush. Police said Diaz was slumped over the wheel and he smelled of alcohol. He was held on a $2500 bond for court Monday.
ED Note: The age above for Rigoberto Diaz was incorrect on Danbury Patch until 12:48 p.m. Tuesday. It is now correct. Thanks to our commentator, who caught the earlier mistake.
