Danbury Police Investigate Serious South Street Crash Involving ATV and Pedestrian
ATV crash on South Street leaves one person critically injured; Danbury Police seek witnesses to aid investigation.
DANBURY, CT — A crash involving multiple all-terrain vehicles critically injured one person Wednesday afternoon on South Street, according to the Danbury Police Department.
Police said officers responded around 3 p.m. on June 18 to reports of a motor vehicle accident and found a pedestrian lying on the sidewalk near a damaged ATV. Two other ATV operators involved in the incident fled before police arrived.
The injured person, identified as the ATV operator, was taken to Danbury Hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.

South Street was shut down for several hours as the Danbury Police Department’s Accident Investigation Team processed the scene.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to contact Sgt. Wakeman or Officer Wolen at 203-797-2157.
