Danbury Police Log: DUI, Assault, Strangulation, ICE Detainer

The following information was provided by the Danbury Police Department. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.

charged Wevrton DaSilva, 26, Weil Avenue, Danbury, with operating a motor vehicle without a license, reckless driving and he was held on an ICE detainer following a driving incident in Danbury at 6:44 p.m. Sunday.

In a separate incident, Johnny R. Delong, 44, of Greenwood Ave., Bethel, was charged with failure to drive right, operating a motor vehicle without a license, operating a motor vehicle while under the influrence of drugs or alcohol, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following an accident at 5:18 p.m. Friday. Delong was held on a $5,000 bond.

In a separate incident, Nagy Romes, 25, Lindencrest Drive, Danbury, was charged with third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and third-degree strangulation Saturday. Romes was held on a $5,000 bond.
