Danbury Police Log: DUI, Failure to Appear, Forgery, Risk of Injury

The following information was provided by the Danbury Police Department. A person charged with a crime is not guilty until having been convicted in court.

Danbury Police charged Alix Perez, 35, of State Street, with 23 charges from several outstanding warrants, including second-degree forgery, DUI, evading responsibility, third-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief and risk of injury to a minor. Police also charged Perez with third-degree assault, disorderly conduct, two counts of first-degree failure to appear, interfering with a police officer, theft of plates and misuse of plates. Perez was held on a $50,000 bond plus four smaller bonds of $15,000 each.

In an unrelated case, charged Brian Montalvo, 24, of Bethel, with illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, no pistol permit and third-degree assault at about 2 a.m. Sunday. Montalvo was held on a $50,000 bond.

Danbury Police charged Oscar Salazar, 31, of Rose Hill Avenue, Danbury, with driving under the influence at about 9:47 a.m. Sunday. Salazar was held on a $1,000 bond.
