Danbury Police Log: Larceny, Heroin, DUI
The Danbury Police Department provided the following information. A person charged with a crime is considered innocent until having been convicted in court.

The Danbury Bike Patrol was dispatched to 19 Main St. at 9:30 a.m. upon hearing of drug activity in a car parked in that area. The officers found the car parked nearby and after talking to the two men inside, they charged one man.
Police found 13 wax folds with a white powder substance that tested positive for heroin. Edward Dalzell, 49, of Robinson Avenue, Danbury, was charged with with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to sell, possession of heroin with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of heroin within 1,500 feet of a school and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police also found a glass pipe in his possession. The second man wasn't charged.
served a warrant on Jose Casanova, Monday at 3:48 p.m. in the Police Headquarters with two counts of first-degree larceny, criminal conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny and second-degree money laundering. Casanova was held on a $100,000 bond. Details of the arrest were not available. About two hours earlier, Danbury Police served a second warrant charging Bruce Amico, 50, of Bethel, with first-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny and second-degree money laundering. Amico was held on a $50,000 bond.

Danbury Police stopped Jose Sanchez, 22, of Spring Street, Danbury, with driving while intoxicated, and driving without a license, after watching him swerve down the road from Liberty Street to the Newtown Road. Sanchez failed a field sobriety test. Sanchez was held on a $2,500 bond.
