Danbury Police: Prostitution

The following information was provided by the Danbury Police Department. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.

While involved in an investigation into prostitution in the Beaver Street, Spring Street neighborhood, the Danbury Police Department Special Investigations Division charged Debbie Waldron, 50, of Dover Plains, NY, with prostitution on Wednesday at about 9 p.m.

At the same time and place, charged Jose Flores, 29, of Bethel, with patronizing a prostitute.

Police said they witnessed suspicious activity near Beaver Street and followed the pair to 35 Main St., the back of the former Super Food Mart, and caught them in the act of prostitution. Waldron was held on a $1,000 bond. Flores was released on a written promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Sept. 10.
