Danbury Public Schools Announces Three New Leadership Appointments For 2025-26

Danbury names two new principals and an assistant principal for the 2025-26 school year.

DANBURY, CT — Danbury Public Schools has announced three leadership appointments for the 2025-26 academic year, including new principals at Broadview and Westside Middle Schools and a new assistant principal at Stadley Rough Elementary School.

Andrew Lambo has been named principal of Broadview Middle School. He most recently served as assistant principal of the Art, Engineering, and Design Academy at Danbury High School. Lambo brings more than a decade of experience in the district, having previously taught first, third, and ninth grade, including special education. He also played a key role in student support efforts following the pandemic, helping implement learning partnerships and programs aimed at academic recovery, according to a news release from the Danbury Public Schools.

Mike Flynn will continue as principal of Westside Middle School after serving in an interim capacity during the 2024-25 school year. A 28-year veteran of the district, Flynn began his career teaching elementary grades at Great Plain Elementary School and has also taught bilingual classes. He transitioned to middle school leadership after 25 years in the classroom.

Jenny Lopez, currently principal of the Reach and Endeavor alternative programs for middle and high school students, has been appointed assistant principal at Stadley Rough Elementary School. Lopez previously held that role at Stadley Rough and returns to the elementary level with 25 years of experience, including administrative work in New York City and Norwalk.
