DANBURY, Conn. — Danbury Public Schools has appointed new leaders at both the middle and high school levels for the upcoming academic year.

He previously worked at Danbury High School as a school counselor, focusing on school climate and the implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support.

Melissa Teel will serve as assistant principal at the Academies of Danbury, overseeing the Art, Engineering and Design Academy. Teel was formerly the Dean of Student Support and an English teacher at Danbury High School, where she was recognized as Teacher of the Year in 2023.
