Danbury Resident Dies After Truck Hits Tree: Police
The Danbury resident was the passenger in a Chevy Silverado that struck a tree in Newtown
DANBURY, CT — A Danbury resident died in a single car crash in Newtown over the weekend.
The Newtown Police Department is reporting that the crash killed Paltin Loja, 26, the passenger in a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado. The truck was traveling northbound on South Main Street shortly after 2:00 in the morning Saturday. According to police, it crossed the southbound lane, left the road, and struck a tree near the intersection of South Main Street and Greenbriar Lane.
Loja and the driver were both taken to Danbury Hospital, where Loja was pronounced dead.

The accident remains under investigation by the Newtown Detective Bureau and Accident Reconstruction Team.
