DANBURY, CT— When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. We’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from Bill White who nominated his friend, social worker Frazier "Jerry" Termon of Danbury.

Jerry's professional work is only a small part of what make him a local hero, according to White. Jerry also coaches kids in football at his church, where he is "a part of any initiative that that is connected to helping others achieve their goals."

"He is a true humanitarian and willing to help others no matter who they are or where they are in life," White told Patch.

Thank you for all you do, Frazier "Jerry" Termon!
