Danbury's Richter Arts Announces Jazz Concert
Chris Cochrane, Jeff Moro, and Josh Walker will play at the Richter House May 15.

Richter Association for the Arts invites you to a jazz concert on Sunday, May 15, 3 p.m. at Richter House, 100 Aunt Hack Rd., Danbury.
The trio features Chris Cochrane, a Milford, Connecticut musician who has studied guitar since age nine. He studied at Naugatuck Valley Community College and is currently a sophomore at WESCON, under the tutelage of master guitarist Chris Morrison. He has played clubs and restaurants across the tri-state area, in small ensembles, and has shared the stage with Charles Neville and Gerald Clayton. His influences include Kenny Burrell, Charlie Christian, Wynton Kelly, Grant Green, and Stanley Turrentine.

Jeff Moro, on the electric and upright bass, has played and studied with a multitude of jazz musicians, such as Jeff "Tain" Watts, Kenny Baron, Renee Rosnes, Gerald Clayton, Curtis Fuller and Joe Lovano, along with private instruction with John Patitucci, Matt Penman and many more. He performed at, The Bitter End in New York City. He currently plays in his funk-rock band Jtrain, Quit Your Day Job, and a band he leads and composes for, The Recess Bureau. Jeff is also and audio engineer and music producer.
Josh Walker, tenor saxophonist and composer, began playing the sax in 3rd grade. In high school, he studied with master saxophonists Gerald Thomas, John Lowery, Tom Christensen and Mark Gross. He attended Gettysburg College, and later WESCON. Now a junior, he studies jazz under world-renowned saxophonist Jimmy Greene. Josh performs in the Connecticut and New Jersey areas, and has shared the stage with WCSU’s Frankensax and Jazz Orchestra, Darren Litzie’s “Saxtet”, the Nicole Davis quartet, Deborah Weisz, Andrew Beals, Gerald Clayton, and CT experimental group “Lovely”. Josh’s primary influences are Hank Mobley, Joe Henderson, Herbie Hancock, and Wayne Shorter.

Refreshments after the one hour concert will provide an opportunity to speak with the performers. Parking is available in the golf course lot. Handicapped parking in front of the house.
