King Street United Church of Christ Fair

Old-fashioned summer fun is on the menu the weekend of August 26 and 27 at King Street United Church of Christ.

It starts with a giant tag sale Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and continues Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with the annual Summer Fair-tastic. Games, all-day musical treats, delicious hot dogs, hamburgers, and baked goods, a farmers' market, plant sales, and vendors will be offered, as well as Gold for Good, a vendor that will buy your unwanted and unused gold jewelry. The tag sale also continues on Saturday.

Admission is free and all are welcome.

One popular feature of the annual fair is the games for children, where kids of any age are sure to find something to entertain andamuse themselves. While the kids are playing, adults can listen to music, enjoy some fantastic baked goods, or place a bid on one of the  diverse items offered up in the silent auction. Gift certificates to local restaurants, handmade fare, and even musical instruments are some of the auction offerings. Many local businesses have given generously for the silent auction and there, too, there will be something for everyone.

Come on down to 201 South King Street and join in the summer fun -- Labor Day is just around the corner!
