Expect Delays: Road Closure For All Vehicles Announced In Danbury
Due to the sensitive nature of live gas procedures, this closure will be for all regular and emergency vehicles.
DANBURY, CT — City officials are advising residents that Franklin Street Extension will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 3 from 8 a.m to 7 p.m.
The closure is necessary for the completion of gas utility work in conjunction with a City of Danbury bridge replacement project, officials said on social media Tuesday. Date and times have been coordinated with the City Engineering and Construction Services departments.
The closure will take place on Franklin Street Extension in the vicinity of Gregory Street. Due to the sensitive nature of live gas procedures this closure will be for all regular and emergency vehicles.

Detour signage will be set up and Danbury Police and/or certified flaggers will be onsite to help assist all traffic.
