A Far Cry, Grammy nominated small orchestra, opens the Danbury Concert Association series September 21

Subscriptions to the Danbury Concert Association’s 2025/26 series are on sale, with an early-bird special till the end of August
Classical music lovers can save on the DCA’s four-concert series by subscribing during August at the discounted rate of $75 per adult. (That’s just $18.75 per concert, a fabulous price to hear world-class musicians live at Danbury’s stunning, state-of-the-art Visual & Performing Arts Center.)
The September 21 series opener features A Far Cry, a triple Grammy-nominated chamber orchestra from Boston. The “imagination-grabbing, trailblazing” “Criers” will perform works by Caroline Shaw, Komitas, Osvaldo Golijov, and Benjamin Britten.

The series continues with “Piano Four Hands,” featuring Andrew Armstrong and Jeewon Park on October 26; pianist Ilya Yakushev on March 22, 2026; and cellist Sophie Shao & Friends, on June 7, 2026. Each concert is on a Sunday with a 3 p.m. curtain time, and is followed by a meet-the-artists reception open to all. For details visit the DCA website.

Single tickets to A Far Cry on September 21 will be available beginning August 21 on Eventbrite at the regular price of $25 per adult. Admission is free for ages 18 and under, courtesy of the Danbury Cultural Commission.
