Letter: 'In Support Of Raghib Allie-Brennan'

"I am a mom with three school aged kids, and this year I volunteered to help out Raghib Allie-Brennan in his reelection campaign..."

Dear Editor:

I am a mom with three school aged kids, and this year I volunteered to help out Raghib Allie-Brennan in his reelection campaign. Why? Because as a teacher I trust his stance on education. His opponent has said that she has "concerns" regarding school curriculum, but her website and campaign materials don't give us anything of substance. It sounds like she has some agenda that she will not admit to.

Far too many politicians in this country are set on forbidding ideas, eroding trust in public schools, and placing teachers at the mercy of ideologues. I fear that Raghib's opponent will just usher in more of this dangerous attitude, placing our school children at a disadvantage.

Raghib, on the other hand, fights for education. He made the 2022 Honor Roll of the CT Education Association, demonstrating his commitment to public education and teachers. Because of this, he has my vote and my enthusiastic support.

Sincerely,
