Longtime Danbury Resident, June (Lee) Mancini, 86 ,Passed Away
From 1953 – 2008, June worked as a Registered Nurse for many years in private practice and at Danbury Hospital.

Danbury, CT — June (Lee) Mancini, age 86 and most recently of Northborough, MA, died peacefully in the early hours of June 6, 2016. She was the wife of the late Steve J. Mancini of Danbury.
June was born in Derby on June 29, 1929 to William and Mildred Lee of Beacon Falls. She graduated from Naugatuck High School and from the nursing program at Waterbury Hospital.
A resident of Danbury from 1953 – 2008, June worked as a Registered Nurse for many years in private practice and at Danbury Hospital where, in addition to being an Operating Room nurse, she was the Educational Coordinator and instructor for medical terminology courses. June loved to visit with her close network of long-time friends and enjoyed cooking and decorating, especially for the holidays when she loved to create special memories for her family.

June is survived by son Gary Mancini and his wife Margot Knorr Mancini of Bolton, MA, and son John Mancini of Sleepy Hollow, NY. She was a proud grandmother to Ryan Mancini and wife Jennifer of Bethlehem, PA; Caitlin (Mancini) Wood and husband Rick of San Francisco, CA; and Sophie Mancini and Hannah Mancini, of Sleepy Hollow, NY. She was blessed with two great grandchildren, Madelyn and Natalie. June was predeceased by her daughter Laura, and her brother, William Lee, III.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Saturday, June 11th at Saint Joseph Church, Brookfield. Burial will follow in Saint Peter Cemetery, Danbury.

The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 267 White Street, Danbury on Friday, June 10th from 5 thru 8 pm.
