Man Charged With Making Sexual Advances on Teenage Girl: Danbury Police
Breaking: Police say the man also gave the teen alcohol.
DANBURY, CT — Following a complaint in March, a man turned him self in to police after he was accused of giving a teenage girl alcohol and making sexual advances on her, according to Danbury Police. Richard Sherwood, 50, turned himself into police on May 10 after he was notified of a warrant for his arrest.
Investigators from the department's Special Victims Unit began investigating the complaint which was filed on March 21. Police say the investigation began on May 5 and a warrant was granted for his arrest. To sign up for Danbury breaking news alerts and more, click here.
Police say he was released after posting a court set bond of $5,000 and is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on May 18.
