Man Crossing Padanaram Road Struck by Car
A man is in critical condition at Danbury Hospital following an accident between a southbound car and pedestrian on Padanaram Road Wednesday.
Danbury Police are investigating an accident between a car and a pedestrian on Padanaram Road that happened after 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Sgt. Rory DeRocco, of the Traffic Division, said the car was driving south at a slow rate of speed when a pedestrian crossed the road. The accident happened sometime after 5:15 p.m.
DeRocco said the man, who has not been identified pending notification to next of kin, is in critical condition at Danbury Hospital. The accident and the accident re-creation team disrupted traffic in the area between Elmer's Diner and McDonald's Restaurant for two hours.
