Man Fled Police Before Crashing Car: Danbury PD

The man turned himself in to police on Monday.

DANBURY, CT — A Waterbury man turned himself into the Danbury Police Department on a warrant stemming from a police chase that allegedly ended in Bethel, according to Danbury Police. Police say they responded to a residence on Mountain Road in Danbury for a domestic disturbance, and saw Jemar King, 36, drive by them.

Police say they tried to stop King, who disobeyed and continued to pass other cars along the way. Danbury police did not attempt to pursue King, but were later told that he crashed his car on Reservoir Street in Bethel and fled on foot.

King was charged with disobeying a signal of an officer, improper passing, burglary in the third degree, stalking in the third degree and disorderly conduct. He was held on $10,000 cash bond.
