Man Stole Car From Danbury Driveway, Led Cops On Chase: PD

Police said two other residents complained that the suspect slashed their tires, and stole the car right in front of its owner.

DANBURY, CT — Police were unable to stop a car thief that took a GMC Denali from the driveway of its owner. The owner told police while he was waiting for the bus with his children, the man entered the car and drove past the man as he tried to confront him.

After police arrived on scene on Grand Street, two other residents said the same man had slashed their tires. Police later spotted the alleged thief on Beaver Street and West Street and tried to stop the Denali, but it sped off onto I-84 West.

The man was described as a white male, standing around five-feet-nine inches tall in his late 30s to early 40s. Anyone with information should contact officer John Dickinson at 203-797-4611 ext. 601.
