Missing Girl Facebook Post is a Hoax: Police
BREAKING: Danbury police are warning Facebook users not to click on a post about a missing Danbury girl due to where it could lead you.
DANBURY, CT — Do not share, do not click — that's what the Danbury Police Department is saying about a supposed missing girl link that's been posted on social media.
Detective Lt. Christian Carroccio of the Danbury Police Department has been made aware of a Facebook hoax that is being circulated and said they have not received any complaints of a missing girl by the name of Kitty Collins. Police said the link may lead the user to a website where their personal or financial information could be stolen.
Police said to verify the information of a possible missing person, contact the Danbury Police Department at 203-797-4611.
