DANBURY, CT — Gerald Thomas "Jerry" Kamas, 78, of Danbury, passed away on Jan. 27, 2024. He was born in Danbury on Aug. 29, 1946, to the late Anna Kamas.
Jerry was a lab technician at Danbury Hospital and also worked as a CNA at Ridgefield VNA before his retirement. His dedication to his work and compassionate nature touched the lives of many.

Outside his career, Jerry led a fulfilling life filled with a variety of hobbies, including fishing, cycling, and scuba diving. He cherished time spent with family and friends, embracing every moment. His love for fishing was unparalleled, spanning various styles and locations, from ice fishing to excursions on Long Island Sound and beyond. Jerry's expertise extended to scuba diving, enriching his understanding of aquatic life. Traveling, especially to Jamaica, held a special place in his heart.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Lisa (Esposito) Kamas; daughter, Jeri Lynn Kamas; granddaughters Emily and Justin Thistle, Sarah and Keith Vidic, and Julia Woytach; great-granddaughters Stella Vidic and Mara Thistle; and many other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Jerry will be held at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street Danbury, CT, on Sunday, April 7, 2024, from noon to 3 p.m.
