Readers' Choice Winner: Chuck's Steak House For Danbury's Best Steak

on Segur Street, a city institution since the 1970s, won the 2012 Readers' Choice Award for best steak house.

Chuck's tops each steak with a pat of butter and a splash of vermouth, and it gets it right every time. Chuck's earned 36 votes or 52 percent of the votes cast. Chuck's picked up for our second place winner, , which earned 21 votes.

Barbaries earned 21 votes or 30 percent of the total cast. Beyond that, got four votes and got two votes, but it has four reviews, showing a stong following. Unfortunately two of the reviews are mixed. One is very positive. No clear picture emerged from these reviews. The final restaurants each received a vote.
