Rebecca Lobo is an award-winning athlete and successful television analyst, author and motivational speaker.

In 1995, she led the University of Connecticut Women's Basketball Team to its first National Championship and was named the Consensus National Player of the Year. The following year, Rebecca was the youngest member of the gold medal-winning U.S. Women's Olympic Basketball Team and went on to a seven-year career in the WNBA playing for teams including the New York Liberty, the Houston Comets and the Connecticut Sun.

In 2001, she and her mother, RuthAnn, founded The RuthAnn and Rebecca Lobo Scholarship in Allied Health at the University of Connecticut to encourage diversity in the health professions.

After retiring from the WBNA in 2003, Rebecca transitioned into her current role as a commentator for ESPN focusing on women's basketball. She is the recipient of numerous awards and honors including 1995 AP Female Athlete of the Year, the 1995 ESPY for Outstanding Female Athlete and the 1995 Sportswoman of the Year award from the Women's Sports Foundation.

She has served on the University of Connecticut Board of Trustees since 2004. In 2010, she was inducted into the National Women's Basketball Hall of Fame. She lives in Connecticut with her husband and four children.
