Sikorsky Federal Credit Union Robbed

A woman passed a teller at the Sikorsky Federal Credit Union a note demanding money Wednesday at about 10 a.m, she drove off with the cash and was caught about 30 minutes later, said Danbury Police Spokesman Thomas Wendel.

The woman drove off in a white Chevy Astro, and witnesses caught the license plate number. Police found out it was registered to First Student of Stamford, and after contacting Stamford, they learned the heavy woman with the curly hair they were seeking was Samantha Enright of Danbury.

Police visited First Student at 30 Taylor St., Danbury, and found Enright. She is now being processed at Danbury Police headquarters. She has not yet been charged.

"They're trying to determine the charges now," Wendel said.

Wendel said no weapon was shown. The suspect passed a note to the teller, and she left with an undisclosed amount of money.

Wendel said Enright was charged with first-degree robbery, third-degree larceny and interfering with the police officer.
