DANBURY, CT — Recent death notices from Danbury.

Michael A. Guariglia, 62, died on Mar. 23, 2025; he held various jobs throughout his career but was most passionate about his work as a DJ.

Raffaele Perri, 103, passed away on Mar. 17, 2025; born Nov. 14, 1921 in Platania, Italy, he immigrated to the U.S. in 1960, worked in construction and later in Danbury Hospital’s maintenance department, and spent decades gardening and sharing his harvest with those around him.

Anna May (Snidero) Leiss, 88, died on Mar. 16, 2025; she worked in HR at Norden Systems, later at Danbury Hospital in patient services and community programs, and was active in church ministries, civic organizations, and volunteer work while enjoying baking, storytelling, and going barefoot.

Jayme P. Radice, 47, died on Mar. 8, 2025; she worked as a medical assistant at OrthoConnecticut and later at Accurate Answer, and found joy in singing, dancing, and fiercely pursuing her goals.

Marietta (Scalzo) Notaro, 101, died on Mar. 6, 2025; born Jan. 10, 1924, she worked as a seamstress and was active in her parish community.

Frank Tokarchik, 77, died on Mar. 5, 2025; he worked over 45 years as a CNC Machinist/Programmer at Amphenol and spent decades playing trumpet and bass with the Danbury Drum Corps, Connecticut Rebels of ’76, Germantown Ancients, and local bands.

Robert J. Soares, 93, died on Mar. 3, 2025; born Nov. 30, 1931, he was a U.S. Navy veteran, longtime IBM Systems Engineer and Litigation Manager, later a consultant, who enjoyed golf, tennis, running, boating, skiing, playing piano and ukulele, and entertaining with music well into retirement.

Barbara "Nancy" Straiton, 77, died on Mar. 3, 2025; she worked as a hairdresser, child care provider, and Licensed Practical Nurse at Garner Correctional Institution and privately, and spent her time gardening, photographing the world around her, and advocating for human rights, education, and the environment.

Karen Woodall Langford, 64, died on Mar. 1, 2025; she studied marketing, worked at Precision Valve Corporation, later became a full-time mother, and spent her time gardening, cooking, knitting, crocheting, caring for pets, and enjoying time at the lake house with family.

Carol Ann Bennett, 69, died on Feb. 28, 2025; she worked at Cortina Education, Amphenol Corporation, and Shop Rite Supermarket, and enjoyed her roles as wife, mother, and friend throughout her life.

Sandra Louise Esposito (Gilleo), 78, died on Feb. 25, 2025; she worked in IT support at Boehringer Ingelheim and enjoyed traveling, solving sudoku, making stained glass, and sharing ice cream with those close to her.

Manuel Alberto Tomas, 78, died on Feb. 19, 2025; he was a U.S. Army veteran, longtime service technician at Leahy’s Fuel Inc., and active member of the Portuguese-American community who enjoyed time outdoors, caring for his yard, and connecting with friends.
