Three People Injured In Multi-Vehicle Crash On Route 7 On Danbury, Roadway Temporarily Closed

Three people were injured in a crash on Sugar Hollow Road in Danbury that closed Route 7 for 45 minutes Sunday morning.

DANBURY, CT — A three-vehicle crash on Route 7 in Danbury Sunday morning sent three people to the hospital and temporarily closed the highway in both directions, according to the Danbury Fire Department.

The collision occurred around 8:21 a.m. on Sugar Hollow Road, just below the highway. Fire, police and EMS crews responded to the scene, along with Connecticut State Police and Eversource personnel.

Officials said the vehicles collided at highway speeds and also struck a utility pole, prompting an emergency response and road closure.

Three people were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Firefighters and wrecker crews cleared the scene of hazards and debris, allowing the roadway to reopen approximately 45 minutes later.
