WestConn Police To Be Reimbursed For Body Cameras

WestConn were one of 14 police departments that were reimbursed for the purchase of body cameras.

Fourteen police departments across the state will be reimbursed for the cost of purchasing body cameras for the cops in their departments and the video storage devices needed to house the tapes. The state Bond Commission approved spending $1,768,525 Wednesday for the reimbursement.

—Putnam Police Department, $47,778;
—Western Connecticut State University Police, $26,733;
