Why Does First Church Have a ‘For Lease’ Sign?

2,500 square feet on 3rd floor presents an income opportunity.

The First Congregational Church of Danbury is seeking a tenant for its empty third floor of the former church school, which is located behind the church.

“This unused space presents an income opportunity for our congregation,” said Heidi Palmer, Moderator, First Congregational Church of Danbury. “Income from this space will go a long way to assure our future, and our ability to serve the greater Danbury community.”

We are looking to lease out the four small units to a professional tenant, ideally a small school, tutoring center, or classroom-based user. That said, we are open to any qualified professional tenant seeking a multi-year lease that offers reliable cash flow with minimal management demands for the church. Daniel Sousa from Coldwell Banker Realty is the broker. Inquiries about leasing this space should be directed to Daniel at Dan.Sousa@cbcnrt.com or 203-948-7870.

Preservation Partnership Bears Fruit

Rental income of previously unused space is possible because of the Preservation Partnership announced earlier this year, and the improvements that Bob Botelho made to our building over the past year. Read this article for more information about the Partnership.

About the First Congregational Church of Danbury

We are a community of people who seek to serve God the way that Jesus did: By working to make God’s vision of a peaceful, just and inclusive world a reality. We believe that God is still speaking in ways that are grounded in ancient Christian understandings, but which are fresh expressions of the Divine presence in contemporary life.

We are members of the United Church of Christ. Our faith is descended from the Pilgrims and Puritans. Our doors are open to anyone who seeks a safe community that accepts them as they are.
