WCSU Computer Science Dept Presents Free Webinar

The free webinar will be apart of the 'Coffee and Conversations Mondays' series and will discuss 'Computer Vision for Precision Tracking'.

From WCSU: The Western Connecticut State University Department of Computer Science will present a webinar by NaturalPoint Chief Software Specialist Dr. Douglas Beck, who will discuss “Computer Vision for Precision Tracking” at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 6, in Room 103 of the Classroom Building on the university’s Westside campus, 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury

The webinar will be part of the department’s “Coffee and Conversations Mondays” series, and it is free and open to the public.

Beck graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in electrical engineering. He received his doctorate, also in electrical engineering with a focus on mixed-signal circuit design, from Arizona State University. Beck’s specialties include: complex hardware and software systems and design of large, maintainable and expandable modular systems.

Professor of Computer Science Dr. William Joel organized the department’s lecture series.
