The exhibition features more than 100 works of art by students from all seven Darien schools.
DARIEN, CT — The Darien Public Schools Visual Art Department recently announced the launch of the 11th annual K-12 art show, which is installed at Upper Crust Bakery and Café, 980 Post Road.
The exhibition, which runs through mid-January, features more than 100 works of art by students from all seven Darien schools. Pieces were chosen by teachers for their creativity, originality, and technical skill, representing a range of mediums and artistic styles.
"This exhibition highlights the incredible imagination, skill, and personal voice our students bring to their work," said DPS Director of Visual Art and Music Colleen Thompson, in a news release. "We are grateful to our dedicated arts educators and to Upper Crust Bakery and Café for helping us celebrate young artists and share their creativity with the community."

"Like many things in our schools, I was blown away by the caliber of the art produced by our students," said Superintendent of DPS Dr. Eric Byrne. "Art gives students another powerful language to communicate with and empowers them to express complex ideas and emotions that words or numbers alone simply can't capture."
