There are still several spaces available for a limited time for residents who wish to park and walk to Great Island. Here's what to know.
DARIEN, CT -- With the Pear Tree Point Beach improvement project underway, the Town of Darien has announced the park is closed to vehicles and pedestrians.
However, the town is able to offer 14 parking spaces until Jan. 5, 2026, for residents looking to visit Great Island.
Beginning Jan. 5, the entire lot will be closed to the public until the project is completed, which is expected to occur before the 2026 summer season, according to an announcement from Darien Parks & Recreation.
