2 New Businesses To Open At Mixed-Use Development In Darien

DARIEN, CT — Two new businesses have inked leases to open in Darien, according to an announcement this week from commercial real estate brokerage firm Saugatuck Commercial Real Estate (SCRE).

MakeInspires, which offers STEM and related programming for K-12 students and adults and has locations in Westchester County and New York City, will open at 1897 Post Road, along with Curated Kitchens & Living, the first brick-and-mortar showroom and café for local designer Suzie Mariniello.

Both tenants are scheduled to open in winter 2026.

The building at 1897 Post Road, known as Landing on Post, was completed in 2022 by local developer V20 Group. The site previously housed a drive-thru bank and Darien International Tiles.

Landing on Post is located across from St. Luke's Episcopal Church, and features five luxury apartments and two boutique ground-floor retail spaces.

Darien Kitchen and Bath, and Moots, a convenience store, briefly occupied the retail spaces.

Wonder, a unique food hall delivery chain, previously looked to open at 1897 Post Road, but their application was ultimately withdrawn from the Planning & Zoning Commission.
