22 Darien High School Seniors Named 'Commended Students' In 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program

The students were presented letters of commendation in recognition of their outstanding academic promise.

DARIEN, CT — Twenty-two seniors from Darien High School have been named as "Commended Students" in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Although the students will not continue in the 2026 competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, they are being recognized among the top students who entered the 2026 competition by taking the 2024 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
