3 Men Accused Of Entering Unlocked Cars In Darien: Police

Officers responded to a report of "suspicious individuals" with a flashlight in the driveway of a home in Darien, police said.

DARIEN, CT — Three Norwalk residents were arrested last weekend and accused of entering unlocked vehicles in Darien, according to police.

On Nov. 8 at approximately 9:11 p.m., officers responded to a report of "suspicious individuals" with a flashlight in the driveway of a home on Chasmars Pond Road, police said in an arrest report.

Jasi Banks, 18, Leyin Grant, 19, and Anthony Yetman, 22, were located nearby on Raymond Street and detained following an investigation, police said, noting the men entered "multiple" unlocked vehicles in the area.

The men were each charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, two counts of conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, and criminal attempt at third-degree burglary, their arrest reports show.

Police did not mention if the three men took anything from the vehicles.

The arrestees were released on $500 bonds and are scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Dec. 1.
