Applications Open for 2025 Ginny Wright Scholarship at DAC
$2,000 Scholarship Available for Darien High School Seniors Pursuing Visual Arts or Design

Darien, CT — The Darien Arts Center (DAC) is now accepting applications for the 2025 Ginny Wright Scholarship, a $2,000 award presented to a Darien high school senior pursuing the visual arts or design in college. This annual scholarship honors the memory of Virginia Wright, a talented artist, dedicated volunteer, and generous supporter of the arts in Darien.
Students applying for the scholarship do not need to be art majors but must plan to take visual arts or design courses in college. The scholarship aims to support young artists as they continue their creative journey beyond high school.
To apply, students must submit:

- Artwork samples showcasing their talent and passion
- An artist’s letter explaining their interest in the arts
- A letter of support from a teacher, mentor, or community member
All submissions must be digital and received by Friday, April 25, 2025. The selected recipient will be announced at the Darien High School Awards Ceremony on May 21, 2025, where they will receive a certificate of recognition. The scholarship funds will be sent by mail following the event.
