Darien Arts Center Presents Annual Mixed Rep Dance Performance

Darien Arts Center Presents Mixed Rep Dance Performed By Their Pre-Professional Dancers

Darien, CT – The Darien Arts Center Dance Academy is proud to present its annual Mixed Rep performance, a dynamic afternoon of classical and contemporary dance showcasing the talent and versatility of its pre-professional Company, Apprentice, and Trainee dancers.

The performance will take place on Sunday, April 27 at 3:00 p.m. at the Darien Arts Center
Weatherstone Studio.

This year’s triple-bill program features excerpts from the iconic classical ballet Paquita, East
Coast Contemporary Ballet’s celebrated work Deconstructed, and a restaging of another ECCB
staple, Hip Hop Essay. The production highlights the breadth of the Dance Academy’s training
and the dancers’ ability to move seamlessly between traditional and innovative choreography.

About the Darien Arts Center:

Founded in 1975, Darien Arts Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating, promoting and providing the means of artistic expression in dance, music and visual arts for members of the community of all ages.

The Board of Directors and various committees volunteer their time to represent the different areas of interest and oversee the diverse activities of the Darien Arts Center and its programs, including dance, music, and visual arts. Our classes instruct close to 600 students of all ages each week, taking advantage of all the DAC has to offer. Hundreds more are involved with the performing arts.

The programs would not be possible without the encouragement of the thousands of area residents who come out in support of these events and have stood by us and helped us grow into the successful and thriving organization we are today. For that we say “thank you!” And we promise we will continue to present the very best theatre, music, dance and visual arts for you and your family for generations to come.
