Darien Police Issue Winter Overnight Parking Ban Reminders
The winter overnight parking ban allows crews to safely and efficiently clear snow and ice from town roads during winter storms.
DARIEN, CT — With the calendar flipped to December, Darien's winter overnight parking ban will be in effect during inclement weather events.
The winter overnight parking ban is in effect from Dec. 1 through March 31 from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m., and allows crews to safely and efficiently clear snow and ice from town roads during winter storms.
Residents are being reminded to plan ahead and avoid parking on the street during the overnight hours.

Violations may result in a $99 fine, police said.
"Thank you for helping keep our community safe this winter," the department said in a social media post.
