Darien's Hanukkah Celebration And Menorah Lighting Event Upcoming

DARIEN, CT — Hanukkah is set to begin the evening of Sunday, Dec. 14, and Darien's annual celebration and community menorah lighting will follow on Dec. 17.

The event in Grove Street Plaza will include songs, food, giveaways, and kids’ crafts. A six-foot-tall menorah will continue to be lit each night of Hanukkah at 6 p.m. by a different Jewish family from Darien.

Residents attending the celebration are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy for donation. This year’s toy drive will benefit the Open Doors Shelter.
