DARIEN, CT — June is on the horizon, which means it's time to license your dog in Darien.
Licenses from the prior year expire June 30 and new ones must be procured on or before that date, or a penalty will be collected in addition to the license fee.
All dogs 6 months or over must be licensed and wear a collar and tag at all times. A dog without a tag is presumed to be unlicensed and is not protected by law.

The fee for licensing is $8 for a neutered male or spayed female, or $19 for a male or female. Licenses are available beginning June 1.
Owners of spayed females or neutered males must present a veterinarian's certificate of neutering or spaying to the Town Clerk when applying for a license.
