Hours At Darien, Noroton Heights Train Station Have Changed
First Selectman Monica McNally said this week the hours have been adjusted with the arrival of cooler temperatures.

DARIEN, CT — With temperatures dropping, the hours at the Darien and Noroton Heights Train Station have changed, according to First Selectman Monica McNally.
Monday through Friday, The stations will be open from 4:55 a.m., to 7 p.m, Monday through Friday. On weekends, the stations will be open from 9 a.m., to 7 p.m.
The public will have access to indoor spaces and bathrooms during these hours.

"A top priority is to provide shelter and warmth to our commuters during the winter months. By expanding the hours of operation, our hope is that everyone waiting for a train throughout the day has a comfortable, safe option," McNally said in a news release Tuesday. "We are pleased to be able to accommodate not only our daily commuters, but also visitors and residents taking advantage of the holiday spirit in the city."
Jim Cameron, a Darien Representative Town Meeting member and founder of the Commuter Action Group, thanks McNAlly for extending the waiting room hours during the winter.

"I'm sure that commuters and holiday travelers alike will appreciate the heat and shelter as they wait for their trains to NYC," Cameron said in a news release. "This is a simple but important step to encourage more folks to take the train instead of driving."
