Last Chance To Sign Up for The Darien Arts Center's Good Morning Art Camp

DARIEN, CT – For families looking to spark creativity and structure those early summer mornings, the Darien Arts Center (DAC) is bringing back one of its most beloved programs: Good Morning Art Camp, designed specifically for children entering grades K–2.

Running July 7–10 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m., this four-day camp is a playful and engaging introduction to visual arts. Young artists will explore a variety of media—from painting and collage to clay and mixed materials—through age-appropriate projects that emphasize creativity, self-expression, and fun.

Led by Miss Erica Caputo, a DAC instructor for seven years and mom of two, the camp provides a warm, encouraging environment where kids can feel safe to take artistic risks and bring their imaginations to life. The small group setting allows for individualized attention and fosters a collaborative, community-focused atmosphere.

Parents appreciate the camp’s thoughtful structure and engaging content, especially for younger children transitioning into summer routines. It’s also a great first step for kids who may be new to DAC programs or visual art in general.

“This is one of our favorite ways to kick off summer,” said Lisa Koorbusch, DAC's Visual Arts Director, “The projects are fun and accessible, and kids leave each day with something they’re proud of—plus a big smile.”

Registration is now open, and space is limited. Families are encouraged to sign up early to secure their spot. The program is part of DAC’s robust summer lineup, which includes a wide range of camps and classes in dance, music, and visual arts for all ages.
